I was very disappointed with this past VK. I don't know how everyone else feels, but I think that much of what they are publishing (pattern wise) isn't very appealing to all knitters. IK seems to have something for everyone you know? Can't wait to get my copy and see how good it is. I saw the preview and was quite happy with a couple things. I did, however, like the Lily Chin article in VK. It was pretty interesting and informative.

Congrats on your FO. Now show us some pix!AJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17129454609666846550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17210420.post-76692139628211071482007-08-08T19:11:00.000-04:002007-08-08T19:11:00.000-04:00yeah, i'd have to agree about the fashion-trendine...yeah, i'd have to agree about the fashion-trendiness of VK. It's very true. They model the shoots after that of W, Vogue, Elle, etc...but it ends up not reading well to the everyday knitter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17210420.post-39122511261021867252007-08-08T17:58:00.000-04:002007-08-08T17:58:00.000-04:00I respect your comparative analysis. However, I bet...I respect your comparative analysis.
However, I bet if you looked at that last few winter issues and the last few summer issues, you'd find that they don't really adhere to the seasonal thing that much. I might be totally off-base here, but I've never really gotten the impression that the winter issues are devoid of summer articles or that the summer issues leave out hats, mittens, sweaters, etc. Maybe we have to agree to disagree ;)Betahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00618328178283196044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17210420.post-22314231463915865772007-08-08T10:35:00.000-04:002007-08-08T10:35:00.000-04:00i just want to go on the record for saying that I ...i just want to go on the record for saying that I like stockinette, and I don't think it automaticaly qualifies something as being boring. I find the simplest items and are the ones I wear the most. I don't want to end up with a drawer full of sweaters that were interesting to knit, but that I don't wear.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13094573245238709203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17210420.post-71995898375126797162007-08-08T08:07:00.000-04:002007-08-08T08:07:00.000-04:00I was just doing comparative analysis...i thought ...I was just doing comparative analysis...i thought this IK was much better than the summer one. also, it seriously pissed off my logical sensors.Passionknitlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08670544750313956759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17210420.post-19406582291833522502007-08-08T04:41:00.000-04:002007-08-08T04:41:00.000-04:00Congrats!!!!
